Kathryn Dygon

I studied Graphic Design and Art History at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA. Throughout the time I was in school, I fell more and more in love with design while dabbling in as many other forms of art as possible. I've done photography, book arts, painting, you name it. I am interested in pretty much anything art or design related.

After going to several exhibitions highlighting the points where technology can meet fashion I decided to try it out for myself and see where it led me. For my Senior thesis project I made different patterns by coding in Processing. Those patterns were then put onto fabrics and made into accessories. It involved a lot of experimentation and learning a whole new program but I really enjoyed what I made with the project and plan to continue with it.

I came from a small town and a big family with several artistic relatives that were a real inspiration to me, even now. My family taught me the importance of hard work, persistence, and loving what you do. Their love and encouragement has certainly helped me in getting as far as I have.
